Raymond Millar & Co Ltd are very pleased to announce an after auction sale of the collection of Maltons from our May auction to Mr Charlie Chawke and the collection is now available for public viewing at Mr Chawke’s Pub - The Bank on College Green.
This unique collection of Malton prints were presented by John Malton 1761- 1803 to his employer James Gandon 1743-1823 the two most outstanding draughtsmen and designers of their era and would be rightly regarded among the all time greats. They were responsible for The Four Courts, Kings Inn, Trinity College, The Carlisle Bridge now known as O’ Connell Bridge, The Bank of Ireland building at College Green, as well as the Courthouse in Waterford and also Abbeyville, Dublin.
